I'm completely disappointed that owner Santiago had charged me over $1,000.00 without completely fixing my A/C issue not getting cold to the fullest and referring me to another shop. If you are not able to fix the problem completely, you should not charge you customers a cent. Just like the Shell gasoline shop that referred me to you. They did not charge me anything. I will never refer anyone to your shop.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your experience. However, we feel it is important to clarify what actually occurred with your **1991 Mercedes-Benz 300-Class 300 CE** and what services you were charged for.
First, the statement that you were charged over $1,000 for the A/C repair is not accurate. The total amount paid included several other services and repairs performed on your vehicle and was not solely for the air-conditioning system.
When your vehicle was originally brought to us, the concern was that the A/C compressor was not operating. We diagnosed the cause of that specific problem, performed the necessary repair, and restored proper operation of the compressor.
On your second visit, the concern was different. The A/C system was operating, but you were dissatisfied with the temperature and overall cooling performance. Our evaluation determined that the condenser was not providing adequate cooling. The condenser is a separate component that we had not previously repaired or replaced.
It is also important to clarify that your **1991 Mercedes-Benz 300 CE** was originally equipped with an R12 refrigerant system and had previously been converted to R134a by another repair facility. L&S Motorwerks did not perform that conversion, and modifications to the original A/C system can affect its overall performance.
We understand that you wanted the A/C system to perform better, and we respect your frustration. At the same time, the original issue presented to us, the non-operational A/C compressor was diagnosed and repaired. The cooling-performance concern identified afterward involved a different component and a previously modified refrigerant system.
We sincerely appreciate your feedback, even when it is critical. We simply believe it is important that the complete circumstances and the work actually performed on your vehicle are accurately represented.
Santiago
